Helena Nicklin is an award-winning wine and spirits writer as well as a live events and TV presenter. 

 

As a professional communicator, Helena describes herself as a ‘wine and spirits translator’, bridging the gap between fabulously detailed drinks geekery and those who just want the basics in memorable, bite-size chunks. Her goal is to make the wine world more accessible, visual and entertaining by teaching  things in an order that makes sense to everyone.

 

In November 2018, Helena launched her own TV series for Amazon Prime called The Three Drinkers do Scotch Whisky alongside her co-presenters Aidy Smith and Colin Hampden-White. It's a travelogue around Scotland with a drinky twist.

As well as presenting on TV and at live tasting events, Helena speaks regularly on live radio, consults for restaurants on their lists, writes and edits copy for wine businesses and sits on various tasting panels for competitions.

Helena is a committee member of the prestigious Circle of Wine Writers, holds the WSET Diploma in wines & spirits and has just been voted in the Top 10 of Women to Watch in the Drinks Business 2019 by About Time Magazine.
